Intermediate Drill Moves
✶ Box Cross ✶
Four separate lines cut towards the centre, lead riders from each line should pass the centre at the same time creating a box shape. The second set of riders cross at the same time to create another box and so on. Riders should be passing left to left with a nose to tail space between them and the rider coming towards them. Saddle crosses performed with the rider coming from the right.
✶ Carousel ✶
Pairs ride a circle, maintaining pair alignment and spacing with the pair in front.
✶ Charro ✶
From split lines, one line of riders cut across the arena, the other set of riders comb and cross through the gaps of the other line.

✶ Diamond Cross ✶
Split lines perform a single file cross before turning and crossing again, creating a diamond shape.

✶ Four Way Cross ✶
Four separate lines cut towards the centre, riders on opposing diagonals cross at the same time followed by the riders from the other diagonals. Two riders should be crossing the centre at one time.

✶ Heart ✶
From a column of four, the outside riders will slant outwards and create a heart shape at the top pairing up and returning down the line. The inside riders ride straight up and create a heart shape outwards remaining on the inside of the riders coming around from the outside. On the slant back in they will slot into the line in pairs rather than quads. Can also be performed from pairs.

✶ Null Void ✶
Performed with two separate lines, one line creates a circle whilst the other line rides straight through the circle.

✶ Pinwheel ✶
With two horses as a pivot point facing opposite directions, the rest of the riders line next to them and the whole line rotates around maintaining a straight line.
✶ Posse Roll ✶
When riding in tight columns, each set will turn out and fall back into set but in reverse order. The first rider to roll will end up on the far side, the last rider to roll will end up where the first rider was.

✶ Sprinkler ✶
Ridden from columns of two or four. In pairs riders u-turn outwards in a wave formation, in columns of four riders split outwards to form pairs

✶ Sweeper ✶
Riders perform an oblique around at least half of the arena
​
✶ Zipper ✶
From an NTT Flat with riders facing alternate directions. In pairs, the riders will turn 270 degrees and ride through the line in pair alignment, pairs / line follows.
